We do not have a set fee for coverage of your day or different packages to look through and decide. We understand that every bride has different needs and different expectations. No matter what we settle on together, your day is special and you will receive no less than the best photography on your day. We also understand as ladies it is your day and your wedding that you spent a year planning will be over in a flash. You will need to see all of the things you missed! We concentrate on the details, the emotions, all of the little things that tied your whole day together as well as the important moments on your day. Our goal is for you to be able to show your children your portraits and it tell them the story of your day without you saying a word.

A Rock the Frock session is always included with your wedding package. This is a one of a kind bridal session you will love. Its not that stained glass dreamy stare portrait session either. We will do some of those for momma at the church. It is a "I am on the cover of Rolling Stone" bridal shoot with a twist!

We are available for engagment sessions and of course Eye Candy by Brandy sessions are available at discounts if your wedding contract is booked.

A Little Country Wedding

All of the images at the beginning is a wedding that Stephani photographed by herself in the middle of tornado season! The divas had to split up that day to photograph weddings in two different parts of Tennessee. The second set of images is a wedding I photographed in Jackson, TN. The Lewis wedding was also featured in VIP. A local magazine in Jackson, TN.

It is awesome that our weddings are featured and we plan to blow 2011 out of the water! We are attending workshops to improve our skills and learning from some of the worlds best wedding photographers. We hope to bring a little pizazz to West Tennessee this year. Bridal Veil Guide

Blusher Veil

Typically combined with other length, this is a short single veil worn over the bride's face.
It extends below the chin but usually drops no farther than the wrist (so as not to interfere with the bouquet).
It is worn over the face during the wedding ceremony and lifted by your partner for the kiss.

Shoulder length
A short veil, this one lands on the shoulders usually with a piece called a "blusher".
This veil is an excellent choice for brides who want to highlight the details on the back of the wedding gown.
This style goes with almost any dress.

Elbow or Waist length
Generally used for gowns without a train and will show off any detailing at the waist of the gown.
Best compliments a gown with a full skirt.
The wedding veil should end below a low back but above the start of the skirt.

Fingertip length
It falls right at the fingertips of the bride if her hands are at her side.
This veil can be worn with almost any wedding dress, except dresses that come above the ankles.
For brides under 5' 4", a fingertip veil is not recommended because this veil usually ends about mid-thigh on a petite woman and would visually cut your leg in half.

Chapel length
A chapel length veil either barely dusts the floor or is a few inches longer. It's length makes this chapel veil an ideal complement to a formal gown with a chapel or sweep train.
Generally used in formal weddings.

Cathedral
These are formal veils most often worn with those wedding gowns having a long train. The length of the bridal veil usually exceeds the length of the dress train by at least 6".

Old Skool Rules Its Ok to Break -Part 1

Face it, this is your wedding. Its ok to do it different than Mom did!

1. Your wedding dress should be white.
The New Twist: The white or ivory wedding dress will always be in style, but that certainly doesn't mean it's your only option. Mix it up with a blush, nude, or pale blue wedding gown.

2. You have to wear a veil.
The New Twist: Break the standard with a chic headband, a fabulous feather fascinator, or a few sparkly hair clips. Or just leave your hair down with nothing at all (you rebel, you!).

3. You need to choose two wedding colors.
The New Twist: Your wedding palette can be made up of as many (or as few) colors as you like, though we advise that you exercise some restraint. Some of the prettiest palettes are entirely monochromatic, whether it's a soft yellow or a bold purple

4. Traditional ceremonies can't be personalized.
The New Twist: Consider new ways to do traditional ceremonies. For the unity candle lighting, add a twist by using a new material. We know of two chefs who mixed spices together to represent their union. Or incorporate a lesser-known tradition like the wine box -- you lock a bottle of wine and love letters to each other in a box during the ceremony to be opened on your tenth anniversary.

5. You can only walk down the aisle to Mendelssohn's Wedding March.
The New Twist: Have your DJ play your favorite love song or a Caribbean steel drum melody, or hire a two-piece band to play an instrumental version of a rock or pop song that's special to your relationship.

6 Ceremony programs are usually formal.
The New Twist: Get creative with your stationery! Turn your program into a Mad Lib or a crossword puzzle with clues about your relationship. Guests will love the fun idea -- and appreciate having something to do while they wait for the ceremony to start

7. You shouldn't see each other until the ceremony.
The New Twist: Schedule a "first look" photo shoot (you and your groom meet with just the photographer before the ceremony). This saves time after the ceremony, so you can actually enjoy your cocktail hour, and it gives you a few precious moments to spend with your spouse before the wedding day craziness sets in.

8. You should make your exit in a shower of rice.
The New Twist: There are so many more exciting options, from eco-friendly confetti to garland wands or bells. You can even create a "tossing table" -- set out paper cones and bowls of confetti, glitter, even air-popped popcorn (hold the butter) or herbs (like lavender) to shower the newlyweds with.

9. Bridesmaids are female and groomsmen are male.
The New Twist: Don't confine your list of VIPs to your female friends (or his to only guys)! If your best friend happens to be a guy, make him your bridesman, or have a groomswoman for him.

10. Cocktail hour takes place after the ceremony and before the reception.
The New Twist: Get the party started early! While you might not want your guests to hit the hard stuff before the ceremony, you can still set up a table with lemonade, iced tea, or even ice water with sliced lemons or cucumber.

HOLDING YOUR BOUQUETS
"How should I hold my bouquet?" - two words for you - "LOWER IT !"

Many times, brides look as if they're hiding behind their flowers. The bodice of your wedding gown is beautiful, so why hide it behind your flowers? Holding your bouquet too high will also hide your bustline and it also places your forearm in a horizontal position, creating a line that cuts your body in half.

By holding your bouquet lower, you can cover your little potbelly or broad hip - it also places your forearm at a 45-degree angle which makes your body look longer and leaner.

Not sure how low to hold your bouquet? - here's a little trick - rest your wrists on your hipbones and usually, you've hit the perfect height.

BRIDES WITH SPECTACLES

Brides wearing spectacles - I've not forgotten about you !

Transition lenses are a big NO - NO! They darken when outdoors and even when you're indoor, they appear dark in photos.

Have non-glare lenses as they help to reduce reflections.

The lenses should not tilt upward because this will amplify the reflections from the camera's flash. Tilt the lenses slightly downward so that the flash will be reflected harmlessly towards the ground. This trick can be accomplished by lowering your chin slightly.

RELAX YOUR FOREHEAD

Often, in trying to accentuate their eyes, brides will try to open their eyes as widely as possible.

In the process of trying to do this, they raise their eyebrows which creates a "surprised look" and a wrinkled forehead.

So keep your eyes and forehead relaxed in order to look more natural. Practice your facial poses in front of the mirror until you are familiar with the movements.

MAKE YOUR EYES APPEAR BIGGER
It is usually less flattering to tilt your head back because your chin becomes more prominent than your eyes. So lower your chin by a fraction of an inch - this will effectively bring your eyes closer to the camera than your chin and mouth and makes your eyes appear bigger.

Remember, just a tiny dose of this trick will do - too much lowering and you might cause a double chin - so use it sparingly and practice in front of the mirror.

GET YOUR ELBOWS AWAY FROM YOUR BODY
Unless you are super-slim, pose with your elbows slightly away from your sides.

If you pose with your elbows touching the sides of your body, your body will look as wide as the elbow-to-elbow dimension, not to mention that if you have less than ideal tone upper arms, it will get squished and look even bigger.

Just move your elbows slightly away from your sides, creating just a small separation between your body and your arm, people will notice the cut-in of your waistline in your photos and this makes your torso appears slimmer.

Learn this pose with care. When you are moving your elbows outward, make sure that you do not lift your shoulders (which we already know, is not a good thing). Also you only want to move your elbows slightly away from your sides - too far out and you'll look like you're doing the funky chicken dance !

RELAX YOUR SHOULDERS
People tend to tighten and raise their shoulders when they are nervous and this causes a couple of problems. It makes your shoulder appear narrower than they really are, your neck seems shorter, and worse, it creates a feeling and look of tenseness.

To be able to do this pose, you have to concentrate on relaxing your shoulders - let them fall naturally.

The New (Old) Southern Hotel

I have had several brides ask me about indoor venues for their reception and boy have I got one for you!

The New Southern Hotel, located in downtown Jtown, is jaw droppingly (is that a word?) beautiful. The restored historical New Southern Building was originally built in 1927. It took them 2 years to restore this place after an F4 tornado destroyed most of downtown Jtown. The New Southern Building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in November 2002.

It can accommodate up to 300 guests. They have an attached catering area, restrooms, and free parking after 4 p.m. and all weekend. Tables and chairs are available as well for an additional fee. You are free to choose your favorite caterer, DJ, equipment rental service or decorator.

And want to impress your friends without saying Na Na Na Boo Boo? The elegance, the details, the beauty of this building is enough in itself! You will definitely be the talk of the town.

TURN YOUR SHOULDER AT A 45-DEGREE ANGLE TO THE CAMERA
If you turn your body slightly to the right or left, you will appear slimmer in the photo.

Generally speaking, your entire body should never be square with the camera but slightly side-on - it should always be at some angle, usually 45-degree or more.

POINT YOUR TOES
You may think a pointed toe doesn't matter because most wedding gowns cover your feet - think again, cos it does make a difference.

Avoid planting both your feet together while flat on the ground. Move a foot to point your toes - by doing this, you are shifting your weight to your back foot, which will cause your hip to shift. This hip-shift makes you look more curvy.

Now, a little goes a long way. You want to look sexy but with an innocent overtone.

Below is a rough estimate of the things you'll need for a 100-person wedding.

Remember to adjust this list if you have to. If you know that the guys are all beer drinkers and that the ladies won't touch the hard stuff, adjust the calculations accordingly: wine coolers might have to be part of your shopping list. The same goes for if your guests have a refined palate and only like the best top-shelf scotches, fine cognac, and exquisite wine .

April and Kevin's wedding was held at the Crown Winery in Humboldt. The Tuscany Villa style of the winery was a beautiful backdrop to their sunset ceremony. April wore a beautiful strapless dress with a long green ribbon trailing from the waist. It was the perfect color to tie into the grooms tie, all decor and wedding cake (which was awesome by the way). The event was catered by Baudo's and they had the winery smelling delicious! The evening was filled with laughter, music and the glasses were never empty. It all ended with sparklers and not one but 3 limos to carry the newlyweds, friends, and family out for an extended evening. Thank you so much April and Kevin for letting me be a part of your day. Happy marriages begin when we marry the one we love, and they blossom when we love the one we married. Congratulations.

Top 5 Wedding Color Mistakes!

1. Using too many colors-Pick three to four colors total to keep your bouquets and centerpieces from looking too messy. If you prefer an undone look, opt for a few slightly varied shades of the same color.

2. Choosing trendy colors-Your palette should be one that you won't mind living with for a long time since you will be framing photos and filling albums featuring those colors in your home.

3.Choosing an oversaturated color combo-The key is balance. If you love bright orange, pick a more muted secondary color like pale blue or khaki.

4.Choosing predictable colors-Certain color combos come with certain connotations. (Think: red, white, and blue or red and green.) Keep your colors from reminding guests of their favorite holiday by subtly tweaking your hues.

5.Ignoring texture-Instead of simply relying on colors, bring multiple textures into your wedding day to give the room some depth and dimension.

This is just a handful of my absolute favorite ones from Kelley and Jacob's rockstar wedding and I do mean rockstar! That was some party!

I could not have asked for better lighting on their formals. I cant resist a good sun flare or two. Everyone was so much fun and so willing to do whatever I asked them to.

They were joined on an island at her Uncle's home and oh my gosh, the water, the fountain, the tea lights, the giggles, and the mood was so romantic. You couldn't help but smile through the entire wedding.

Pumpkins, fall colors, and football, were all in the air for the reception. There was even a pumpkin that had Neyland Stadium airbrushed on it. Big pumpkins and itty bitty pumpkins all provided by the Pumpkin Patch in Milan, TN. Then, then, then the party came to life with the Chris Weaver Band. And you know how I love me some music! Seriously treat yourself and see them if you have the opportunity. The grand exit was driving off in an antique corvette that sounded like it could "leave em in the dust" as my 4 year old would say. You know I was lovin that too! Ahhh to be young and in love...it makes me smile to see it. Thank you, thank you, thank you Kelley and Jacob for letting me be a part of your day.

To earn your merit badge, put together a bridal emergency kit, full of those oh-so-useful things everyone seems to want on the day of a big event. but no one has – except you! Brides, in case your maid-of-honor prefers boy watching to boy scouting, you could either ask someone to help you put this bridal emergency kit together, or pull it together yourself.

The tulips are blooming, the temperatures are rising – what a perfect time for a wedding! Get started planning your spring-themed wedding now but there are some things to consider!

Daylight saving time: In 2011, daylight saving time begins on Sunday March 13th, after which the sun will set an hour later. Keep this date in mind if you envision a sunset outdoor ceremony.

Prom factor: May and June are prime prom months, so be sure to book your transportation and locations early.

Variable weather: Spring weather can be unpredictable. An unseasonably warm and sunny Friday can give way to a miserably cold and rainy Saturday. Be prepared for both extremes.

The Plate Wait

Want to greet all of your guest, but not sure how. Does the idea of a traditional receiving line make you weak in the knees? Here is a fun way to meet your guests.

The Plate Wait: Greet guests by positioning yourselves at the beginning of the buffet table(s). As the guests approach the buffet table(s) give them a hug, say your hello’s, and hand them their plate. The Plate Wait will ensure you see everyone while guests are waiting in line for the buffet. Let’s be honest- no one skips out on wedding food.

Love is.... a one of a kind guestbook

I didn't want the traditional guestbook so we did something a little different. I took a large glass vase, tied some ribbons around it, and sat it in a wooden wreath with (you can see it on the left edge of the photo) a handmade flower attached. I also created 3 stacks of business-card sized cards - 2 of them had prompts on them "Love is..." and "We wish you...", and 1 was blank - and added the note to encourage people to leave us a little message. I also had small coin-envelopes there to slip the completed cards into before dropping them in the bowl.

We took the cards with us on our honeymoon and had a great time opening them and reading them to each other. We had some really funny responses, as we expected, and some really sweet ones too! I will be making a scrapbook with them (once I find the time!) by sticking the envelopes, flap out, onto brightly colored paper.

All You Need is Love

You know I was totally diggin Amanda and Pearce's wedding when at the rehearsal I heard Beatle's music played. I need a copy of that music by the way Amanda! Their wedding was held at a beautiful church in Beech Bluff. It was full of fall colors and tons of friendly hospitality. I have been talking to Amanda about this big day since the first of the year and her family has treated me like I was one of their own. Truly two great families coming together. The reception was equipped with a huge spread of awesome food and we wont even talk about the cake. Pearce got a good taste of it...well so did his face. Sparklers ended the evening with a few LOVEs written in the air. Thank you so much Pearce and Amanda. I truly wish the best for you both. May the best of your todays be the worst of your tomorrows.

iPhone Proposal

Thrifting Antique Silver Pieces for Stunning Centerpieces

If you’re meddling around thrift stores, antique markets and garage sales you can easily find fabulous personalized touches. Treasures such as vintage silver plated tea sets, sugar bowls and candy dishes are easy finds, inexpensive and oh-so-elegant in wedding décor.

To create your centerpiece you’ll want to build a collection of objects similar in shape and size; consider tea sets of similar scale but varying design. Filled with floral and grouped together, they are stunning and sophisticated. Bargain blooms such as baby’s breath and carnations, used en masse love to live in these stylish pots. However, make sure your containers are at least three inches deep if you are using them for arrangements – definitely consult your florist first!

Also you can treat them as favors at the end of your event. Give your pieces as gifts to your most special guests (grandmothers, aunts and godparents) as sweet surprises that create lasting keepsakes they will remember forever.

Cake Pops

One of the great things about weddings now is they are different. No two weddings are the same I can testify to that! I have seen so many different traditions and I still smile and get teary eyed at each and every one of them.

I am a HUGE fan of the Rock n Roll Bride (do you have to ask why?) and today she highlighted these awesome, cute, and adorable cake pops! A new twist on your wedding cake. I love it so much I sent the link to my favorite baker Batter up Cakery and asked her if she could whip some up for my daughter's birthday this year. Oh yeah pictures will surely come!

DIY Flowers

If you have decided to create your own flower decorations for your wedding there are a few things you need to consider.

Firstly you need to decide which main color you would like to use. Let’s say you would like a blue wedding and therefore you would like the main color of your flower decorations to be blue too. The combinations below add contrast and life to any floral arrangement and any choice of color. The perfect complimentary color for blue is a splash of yellow and the result is an amazing contrast and an interesting decoration.
